Portland – Heart Coffee Roasters and Tasty n Alder

Next time you have to wait 1.5 hrs before being seated for brunch make sure you are next to a good coffee place. Normally I would be grumbling about having to wait so long but in this case I couldn’t help but be a little bit happy about it. Luckily for my mom and I we stumbled upon Heart Coffee Roasters before sitting down at Tasty n Adler.

I would go back to Heart, it reminded me of Blue Bottle with the stark white interiors. As for Tasty…it was good enough that I would try it again but I would rather try the original, Tasty n Sons. We ordered 3 items and left with full bellies. Note – this is a sharing place, order a few dishes and everyone can dig in.

Heart.

Soy latte, iced dirty chai, and blackberry scone

Cast Iron Frittata

Chocolate Potato Doughnut with creme anglaise

Potatoes Bravas

Ximena.
