I was really excited to go here having heard lots of good things about this beach side artist town…then I got there. Imagine this, a town designed by Urban Outfitters and that is Sayulita. We took the bus from Puerta Vallarta to Sayulita and I was feeling great about it. Got off the bus, still feeling good. We enter an open air market, there are vegan and American vendors and and and….I am awful at hiding how I feel so my mother turns to me and goes “You hate this don’t you”. I did.

I had a lot of mixed feelings about this place. Overall I had a good time but it was so hipster, you don’t come here for an authentic experience. Surfer transplants everywhere, overpriced food, and to be completely honest all white tourists. I guess it’s the hot spot for Americans right now.

I did enjoy the art.
